I never thought I would ever find anything as fun as football training, combining hard work with team spirit, but this is it! BlitzFitness has it all! Its inspiring, tough, challenging but at the same time incredible fun. Lara and Karen have such an energy and they are real professionals; they support, push and coach you to achieve what you didn't think was possible. I have been training with BlitzFitness for 9 months and I can say that I have probably never been in better shape.
I have been training with BlitzFitness for 3 years and thoroughly enjoy every session. The sessions offer a good mixture of cardio and core strength exercises and there is lots of variety from week to week. Even though the levels of fitness in classes varies the sessions are such that you can push yourself depending on your own ability levels. I have seen a notable improvement in my fitness and definitely feel the benefits of the sessions which lara and Karen make not only challenging but fun.
'When I originally signed up, I ticked the 'very fit' box, and was slightly concerned that BlitzFitness would consist of mums prancing round the park, then going for a coffee. How wrong was I?! A year on, I've done relays in the rain, burpees in the breeze, situps in the snow and been made to run much faster than I wanted. Lara and Karen manage to make it both challenging, competitive and entertaining each week.'
I can't speak highly enough about Lara and Karen. They clearly put a great deal of thought and effort into both the individual sessions and the term as a whole - mixing up the amount of core, strength and endurance exercises. Most importantly, the group sessions feel exactly that - whilst you are pushed hard to your own limits, it's within an encouraging atmosphere for everyone, whatever your fitness level.
Having seen the benefits of BlitzFitness through friends and finally free for a few hours, I decided to try the more gentle class on a Friday. From years of fitness neglect I was worried about not catching up, not being good enough and not even knowing how to do a Press Up! I just asked and no-one laughed at me or thought me no good. Karen and Lara helped me and with gentle persuasion I almost have the technique perfected. My self esteem is higher, I feel better about having a go and if I can push myself I will. Being with others is motivation and just when you think you can't keep that plank position for one more second, they have you in another exercise and just when you can't do that for one more second ....... I am glad I overcame my fears of being no good because now I feel I might be happy wearing that little black dress tonight.
Karen and Lara's BlitzFitness makes training amazing accessible fun. I feel fitter and faster and look forward to Monday nights in the fresh air with a great bunch of people.
